Ever wanted to go up in helicopter? Or have you ever wanted to see Lake Cumberland from the air? Here's your chance!
Fly over Lake Cumberland with the some of the most experienced helicopter pilots around! Our pilots are all FAA certified and commercially trained.
Lake Cumberland is over 101 miles long, spans 65,530 acres, and has 1,255 miles of shoreline! In other words, it's big. But more importantly, it's truly one of the most beautiful lakes in this great country.
The R44 Clipper II is a high performing, reliable aircraft. It has a 2-bladed rotor system powered by Lycoming's IO-540 fuel injected engine. Cruise speed is 116mph, with a maximum operating altitude of 14,000 feet. In this 4-seater aircraft, the maximum weight per seat is 300lbs. Maximum weight with pilot, passengers, and standard fuel is 753lbs. All weight restrictions will be adhered to per FAA regulations.

Want to become a helicopter pilot? Or maybe just want to take your first lesson to see if it's for you? Here's your chance! (Gift certificates are available.)
Introductory flight lesson including initial student pilot FAA ground briefing. Total lesson time 45 minutes, with 30 minute flight time at the controls of the helicopter. Student will practice hovering, takeoff, cruise flight, and landing in the R-44 helicopter. Flight time will be logged in a provided pilot logbook with instructors' endorsement. This is the first flight toward becoming a helicopter pilot. Check with flight instructor regarding additional instruction at an hourly rate.
Safety is paramount. All flights will be flown in accordance with FAA guidelines. The Pilot in Command is the final authority in determining if a flight will be conducted or terminated for any reason at the pilot's discretion.
